New York City — California’s own rocket queen Nicki Bluhm and her Gramblers disembarked for a evening of breezy rock n’ roll in the Big Apple at the Bowery Ballroom. After a series of East Coast press appearances, including an in-studio at Sirus XM, the band took to the stage around 10pm. The set started a little mellow but picked up around mid-point rocking through “A Little to Late” and “Ravenous” which graces the fold’s recent single release. Highlight though was the harmonies of Nicki and her husband/guitarist Tim Bluhm (Mother Hips) on the Sarah Siskind encore cover “Mountains.”
