Dinosaur Jr. brought some alt-rock nostalgia to Asbury Park during a sold out gig at The Stone Pony on Wednesday night, celebrating 30 years of their album Where You Been. New York’s own Das Damen – who recently reunited after 30 years – opened the show before Dinosaur Jr. took the stage. Led by J. Mascis, the headliner performed fan favorites including ‘Feel the Pain’, ‘Freak Scene’, and ‘Start Choppin’, before closing out the show with a cover of the classic tune by The Cure, ‘Just Like Heaven’.
