Friday’s lineup at this year’s Firefly Festival is a mixture of nostalgic, classic acts with some new favorites. Check out our picks of must-see artists…
Bob Moses
I first saw Bob Moses at SXSW and I got the dance workout of a lifetime. Sultry, soulful and hypnotic, Bob Moses puts on a live show that can’t be missed. Firefly is the perfect setting to bring your crush, or meet your crush dancing to Bob Moses at the Backyard Stage at 5:15PM and again at 9PM at The Coffee House stage.
AFI
Wow, I don’t even know where to start. Absolute legends AFI are heading to Firefly electrify your soul with rock’n’roll. Get sweaty with your best friends (and a bunch of strangers), and open up the pit as AFI slay starting at 4PM on the Firefly Stage.
Franz Ferdinand
How much do I love Franz Ferdinand? Let me count the ways. Every song by them is an absolute jam, and you can feel the energy and love between them and the crowd when they play live. It’s infectious, uplifting, and straight up thrilling. Franz Ferdinand will be rocking the Firefly Stage at 6:15PM.
Miike Snow
It’s been a long day of shows and music. Need a second wind? Don’t worry! Miike Snow will be serenading your soul while getting your feet and body moving at 9:30PM on the Backyard Stage. I can’t wait to see him perform some of my favorite tracks live at Firefly, including “Genghis Khan” off his album ‘iii’, out now!
Flume
To bring your epic afternoon of dance parties to a close, Flume will be headlining your late-night activities and bringing you into the new day on Friday (Saturday, really) with a set on the Backyard Stage at 12:15AM. Bring your crush (or your new crush you met at Bob Moses) and get your dance on again to the sultry, electrifying sounds of this Aussie DJ.
