Guitar Mash is set to return to City Winery this November 8th, with appearances by special guests Jackie Greene of The Black Crowes, Binky Griptite of Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Brandon ‘Taz’ Neiderauer, and more artists to be announced. The fourth annual event encourages all ticket holders to arrive with instrument in hand to play alongside celebrity musicians for an epic jam session.
Guitar Mash is a nonprofit organization that creates opportunities for guitarists and music lovers to connect and create, while supporting music education and communal learning projects. Founded by Rebecca Weller (former producer of Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center), Guitar Mash is proud to feature chef Tom Colicchio (of Top Chef) and Chad Smith (drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers) as its Artist Co-Chairs. Legendary performers from past Benefit Jams include Jorma Kaukonen, David Bromberg, Nels Cline, Valerie June, Kaki King, Robert Randolph, Larry Campbell and Vernon Reid.
Proceeds from the Benefit support Guitar Mash’s teen programming throughout the year, providing opportunities for young guitarists from diverse cultures and ability levels to learn and play together. Tickets here…
