New York City — Nigel Hall is a soul force to be reckoned with. Once more, the infectious energy shook the ground at his final show of a month-long residency at Rockwood Music Hall.

Nigel Hall and his all-star band captivated the crowd with flawless harmonies, coupled with the electric, soul-funk instrumentals. Music is Hall’s life-force and if you can handle it, hold on, he’ll bring you along for the ride. He hooks us with his exquisite, original compositions and coupled the beautiful vocals of Mel Flannery, and Tania Jones. You could feel the energy rise with each song. Added to the mix, is hard driving soul-funk, sounds of Eric Krasno on bass, Adam Smirnoff on guitar and Adam Deitch on drums.

They filled us with the funk and soul reminiscent to the energy that was brought to the Apollo Theater by, Stevie Wonder, Jackie Wilson and James Brown. It’s the kind of raw excitement that brings a crowd to their knees. Not only is Nigel Hall a versatile and extraordinary musician, his humbleness, touches our hearts. His charismatic presence and captivating voice fills us with the spirit of soul music! The hour long set flew by leaving you wanting more. Good thing Bowlive, Soulive @ Brooklyn Bowl is just around the corner. Also, stay tuned for Nigel Hall in the Warren Haynes Band!
