Jane’s Addiction is currently on a North American tour, with a two-night engagement at New York City’s Pier 17 this week. Highlights of the shows included performances of “Jane Says” and “Chip Away,” featuring Steve Perkins, Dave Navarro, and Eric Avery on drums. Throughout the night, frontman Perry Farrell struggled with his vocals and candidly told the crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, I have to be honest with you. Something’s wrong with my voice… Something’s going wrong. I can’t get my notes out.”
After this admission, Perry’s performance improved significantly, allowing him to finish the show on a high note. If Jane’s Addiction comes to your city, don’t miss the chance to see the original lineup.
