It’s that time of year again, that The Mule do their New Year’s run, that will culminate at The Beacon Theatre in New York on Sunday. Tonight they set up shop in Atlantic City, at The Borgata’s Event Center.
Starting off with a blistering “Thorazine Shuffle>Game Face>Mountain Jam>Game Face”, the crowd would be warmed up for the rest of the evening. Fans were treated to two sets, with the band playing a nice sampling of their newest release, Revolution Come…Revolution Go, as well as a few covers and older Mule songs. The festivities featured “The Better Half Singers” and Shawn Pelton, the drummer for the SNL house band, on a handful of the songs. Jackie Greene was also called into duty for the show, playing on the last few songs of each set.
The show ended with a pair of Neil Young covers – “Cinnamon Girl” and “Tonight’s the Night”. It was a nice way to wrap up the end of the evening, and a great last show of the year.
Happy New Year!!
